Keine/No Queering Defaults Pride 2025

Das Wichtigste zuerst:
es wird 2025 keine intersektionale Pride von Queering Defaults in Leipzig geben.

Wir schreiben das in dieser Klarheit so früh im Jahr, weil es wichtig ist, dass Menschen Bescheid wissen.
Uns ist als Gruppe sehr klar, dass es in Leipzig gar nicht mal so wenige Menschen gibt, die sich darauf verlassen, dass die QD Pride wie gewohnt jeden Sommer stattfindet. Damit es nicht zu bösen Überraschungen kommt, ist es uns wichtig, das möglichst früh transparent zu machen.

Wir glauben weiterhin daran, dass Leipzig eine intersektionale, emanzipatorische Pride braucht. Je früher klar ist, dass QD das nicht leisten kann, desto mehr Zeit haben andere, sich zusammen zu finden, und mit genügend Vorlauf die Zügel selbst in die Hand zu nehmen.

In den nächsten Wochen werden wir noch einen Text veröffentlichen.
Darin wird es um die Hintergründe dieser Entscheidung und (Selbst-)Kritik gehen.

In den letzten fünf Jahren Arbeit haben wir eine Menge Wissen, Erfahrungen und Kontakte gesammelt.

The most important thing first:
There will be no intersectional Pride organised by Queering Defaults in Leipzig in 2025.

We are writing this clearly so early in the year because it is important that people know.
As a group, we are very aware that there are quite a few people in Leipzig who rely on the QD Pride taking place every summer as usual.
To avoid any unpleasant surprises, it is important for us to make this transparent as early as possible.We continue to believe that Leipzig needs an intersectional, emancipatory Pride.
The sooner it is clear that QD cannot provide this, the more time others will have to come together and take the initiative with enough time.
So people, if you want to have an intersectional Pride 2025:

We will be publishing another text in the next few weeks. It will be about the background to this decision and (self-)criticism.

Over the last five years, we have gathered a lot of knowledge, experience and contacts. We would like to share this with you!
